Summary of Mis Tres Viudas Alegres:

Don Jos, un viejecito pulcro y ridculo, se casa con Silvia, una joven de 20 aos, pero en la noche de bodas antes de consumarse el matrimono l sufre un ataque y muere. Por medio de las esquelas mucha gente se entera del fallecimiento y acude al panten. Entre los visitantes est Amalia, guapa mujer que ensea su acta de matrimono y fotos y dice que el da de su boda Don Jos recibi una llamada, se fue y ya no regres. Tambin llega Lilia, otra viuda, diciendo que raptaron a su marido la noche de bodas. El da que el albacea lee el testamento, se enteran que Don Jos tambin abandon a la cocinera pero con un hijo. Ella pide que lo busquen y esperen 5 aos para tomar parte en la herencia, y las tres viudas forman una sociedad. Don Jos, a prissy old man, marries Silvia, a 20 year-old woman, but he dies on their wedding night before the marriage is consumated. The obituaries draw a number of people to the cemetery. Among them is Amalia, a good-looking woman who shows her marriage certificate and photos and says that on the day she married Don Jos, he received a call, went out and never returned. Then Lilia, another apparent widow, says that Don Jos was kidnapped on their wedding night. When the will is read, they learn that Don Jos also abandoned his cook and little son. She asks that they look for him so he can participate in the inheritance and the widows band together to form an association.
